2022 Teams Power Ranking
2022 Teams Power Ranking

Hey everyone!

Here we are finally with our fourth update and this time it concerns the Teams Power Ranking. You have been asking us to make changes to it for a long time and now we have done it.

No More “Buying PR”

A big problem in the Teams Power Ranking until now, was when a team signed a player getting all his power ranking points, this gave an advantage to the "richer" teams and this was not okay.

Now from this year the Teams will get power ranking points only when the players achieve results while they are inside the team. This also means that when a player leaves a team, the points will stay where they are.

Squads

Another change we have made is the deactivation of the squads system, before the power ranking points of a team were calculated in rosters of maximum 4 players, now we have removed this limit and the points of teams with 5 players or more will be calculated together.

Please Note: we'll keep an eye on this to see what impact this setting will have with the new system. So we're not excluding that we might change this in the future.

Region Lock

This is not a change, but more of a reminder. In the Teams Power Ranking the "Region Lock" is still active. This means that for example if a European Team has X European players and they participate in tournaments in other regions (other than Europe) and make power ranking points, these points will not be added to the Team.

Please Note: we'll keep an eye on this to see what impact this setting will have with the new system. So we're not excluding that we might change this in the future.
